The ELDOA Method has hit the Jersey Shore, coming soon to Haddonfield and Mount Laurel!

This past weekend, Jill Kemenosh, Dr. Mark Kemenosh, and CK Pilates hosted an introduction to The ELDOA Method to help combat typical areas of pain and tenderness with a new type of deep myofascial stretching.  ELDOA, which translates to LOADS (longitudinal osteoarticular decoaptation system) was developed by world renowned Osteopath, Guy Voyer, initially to provide rehabilitation for people suffering from scoliosis. Each posture was developed with surgeon-like precision, working on decompressing individual spinal segments. This precision bring an added diagnostic benefit to the training: it exposes specific weaknesses and give the practitioner the information needed to tackle their individual issues even after one class.  The most commonly treated issues with ELDOA are low back pain and neck pain.

The intro class was structured to include ELDOA for each segment of the spine – lumbar, thoracic, cervical – and the exercises are beneficial to anyone and everyone taking the class. This training alone was successful in slowing down and even reversing the effects of scoliosis. It is now used by a variety of people (professional athletes, children, seniors, exercise enthusiasts) for countless benefits including; pain relief, postural alignment and awareness, spinal decompression, better neurological and endocrine function and full body fitness.

ELDOA Method Group Introductory Class! CK Pilates – Marmora New Jersey – Saturday May 20th

Jill Kemenosh is proud to introduce The ELDOA Method next weekend at CK Pilates (Marmora, NJ) and will be taking on a limited amount of students to start practicing the deep myofascial stretching techniques created by Guy Voyer, DO.  The ELDOA Method is deeply rooted in techniques to greatly reduce low back pain, neck pain, and to better centralize joints to help prevent further injury and to better help tissues like the discs heal whenever possible.

Jill Kemenosh is an Authentic Pilates instructor who started into The ELDOA Method about a year ago Dr. Voyer was featured at the Titleist Performance Institute World Golf Fitness seminar in 2016.

Dr Mark Kemenosh – ELDOA Method – Colorado seminar this past weekend

Jill went on after the Colorado Level I certifications to obtain her Level II and III certifications in The ELDOA Method later and you can see more about this at the following link.

Jill Kemenosh is now Level I and II certified in the Eldoa Method!

Definition:  The ELDOA are postural exercises (LOADS) that you can do yourself with the primary goal being to increase the space within a chosen articulation. As the ELDOA “create” space, there is an improvement in joint mechanics, increased blood flow, reduced pressure on the discs, a reduction of pain, spinal disc rehydration, better muscle tone, improved posture, and a sense of well being and awareness.

The human spine is a complicated and vital structure. Compression and articular blocks can cause pain, arthritis and neurological conditions. The ELDOA exercises are a highly effective solution to these conditions. The ELDOA are very precise postures that target a specific joint region to provide relief from pain and restore balance. LOADS (Longitudinal Osteo-articular Decoaptation Stretches) are postural self-normalizing techniques, which aim at widening the space within a pair of joints. It is possible in one minute a day to relieve disc compression between L5-S1 or even more specifically at the base of the long arm of the left sacroiliac joint.

Jake Arrieta’s Full-Body Pilates Workout and a bunch of NFL players who take Authentic Pilates lessons as well!

The Chicago Cubs pitcher transformed from a struggling young pitcher to Cy Young winner by doing this routine.  Strong statement we know, but that comes directly from Muscle and Fitness magazine!  Lets look a little closer however at the stats leading up to Jake Arrieta doing Authentic Pilates.

What’s the opposite of a push-up? This pilates routine.

Dr. Kemenosh and his daughter Jill have been jumping back into Pilates with a vengeance of late!  Between the ELDOA Method and several different takes on Pilates, we have been watching videos from all walks of life improving their lives with exercise!  Check out Denver Broncos CB Kayvon Webster’s AM workout with True Pilates Miami!  Yes, that’s an NFL player doing Pilates during the off season to keep his core rock solid!

Who is Jill Kemenosh? A previously internationally ranked equestrian, Jill began practicing Pilates at fourteen, as it was a perfect supplement to her riding regiment. After graduating with a B.A. in Communication from the University of Delaware, and trying a corporate job on for size, she decided to pursue a different career path. Her love for Pilates and desire to stay fit directed her to the New York Pilates Studio® Teacher Certification Program headed by Brett Howard. Jill became a graduate of the program in 2016 and takes great pride in the precision of the Authentic Pilates™ method and the amazing results that it produces. Jill Kemenosh is now Level I and II certified in the Eldoa Method!

Dr. Mark was introduced to the Eldoa Method last fall at the TPI World Golf Classic and saw a great deal of refinement in the way they handled back related discomfort and pain when integrating exercises and stabilization movements into the mix.  Once getting back and sharing some of the short videos he took at the seminar, his daughter Jill, a certified Pilates instructor took immediate interest since she has such close relationships with 5 chiropractors!

Without warning, and without Dr. Mark, Jill pressed on to part II of the Eldoa certification this month.  The mix at Eldoa certification seminars ranges from Pilates and Yoga instructors all the way up to Physical Therapists and Chiropractors, which for the most part are the practitioners who deal most with back pain of all sorts.

Dr Mark Kemenosh – ELDOA Method – Colorado seminar this past weekend

Dr Mark Kemenosh and his daughter Jill Kemenosh, our future Pilates guru at the office both traveled to Colorado this past weekend to become certified in the Level 1 ELDOA Method which Dr. Mark started to do earlier this year when he studied under Guy Voyer, a DO who started the manual technique commonly referred to as “Joint Pumping”.  Dr. Kemenosh was exposed to Dr. Voyer who spoke at the Titlelist Performance Institute Wolf Golf Classic in late 2016 on the topics of articular joint pumping and the ELDOA method which has started to take fire in the golf training world.

Some of the techniques in the ELDOA method are greatly centered around techniques to help with injury prevention, reduce joint inflammation and arthrosis, delay disc degeneration, increase disc hydration, and to even possibly normalize disc bulges.

The ELDOA exercises and Myofascial Stretches are specific techniques created by world renowned osteopath, Guy VOYER DO. ELDOA METHOD Classes are semi private group classes organized by certified ELDOA/MFS Instructor, Stephanie McCusker, who uses a combination of these techniques as well as other Somatraining techniques to deliver the most beneficial sessions possible. The ELDOA METHOD classes were founded in Los Angeles, CA and are now being offered here in Auckland, NZ. These Classes are not based on a formula. Every class is designed to respect the proper progressions and order of the techniques as taught by Dr. Voyer to ensure quality. These classes will vary depending on the needs of those participating. There will be an intentional goal set for each designated class and will be ever changing to continually challenge each individual while encouraging their overall improvements.
