Joshua Sand, DC, CCSP is originally from Wenonah, NJ and graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Exercise Science. While there, he also was a member of the Men’s Division I soccer team. He went on to attain his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Southern California University of Health Sciences. Dr. Sand holds professional licenses to practice chiropractic in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. After years of practicing in Yardley, PA, he and his wife Krista have decided to move back to Wenonah so that they and their new daughter Lily could be closer to family.
His desire to become a chiropractor started at an early age. Growing up as a multisport athlete, he suffered many injuries through the years. The help he received from a chiropractor for these injuries gave him an appreciation for the body’s ability to heal itself naturally with the right guidance. His passion for sports and firsthand knowledge of the injuries associated with them propelled him to attain his certification as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician following chiropractic school. With this came with the understanding that many injuries to the body are to the soft tissues and these structures are also what are responsible for moving and supporting the body. He became a full body Active Release Technique provider, the gold standard for treating soft tissue injuries, to ensure he had the best method available for treatment that provides fast, effective, and lasting relief.
Dr. Sand has experience in treating both sports and non-sports related injuries, as well as providing treatments to optimize health. He uses techniques to improve joint range of motion, along with soft tissue and muscle strengthening and relaxation techniques to help patients reach their health and performance goals. As a former college soccer player and lifelong outdoor enthusiast, he understands what a healthy body is capable of and what is necessary for a healthy lifestyle.
